Then I headed for the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, where I could see a Sony Style store compete almost directly across from an Apple retail store. The weather was gorgeous, drawing the usual weekend throng to the shopping center.
I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of the new Sony Style store and Comcast Labs, located in the Comcast Center (Comcast’s main corporate headquarters) at 17th and Market in Philadelphia.
Sony has opened a brand new Sony Store in the Century City mall. According to workers there, this is the first Sony Store (as opposed to SonyStyle store) and the other stores will eventually all be converted.
Comcast and Sony Electronics has partnered on a new store. The new store opens in Philadelphia and it will be called Sony Style Comcast Labs. It will be a store where people can learn about new devices and technologies. The new store opened yesterday. It shows off all of Comcast and Sony’s new products and services.
Sony Electronics opens three new Style stores : Sony is opening three new Sony Style stores this week, rounding out its fiscal year with a total of 15 of the new concept stores nationwide. The stores, due to open at Westfield Valley Fair Mall, San Jose, Calif.; Fashion Valley Mall, San Diego; and Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, Ill, are designed to inspire consumers to integrate technology and entertainment into their lifestyles. Scheduled to open March 22nd, 24th and 26th, respectively, each approximately 6,000-square-foot store will encourage consumers to test-drive a variety of Sony devices like digital cameras and experience firsthand their seamless interaction with digital entertainment content.|
