  • The Art Institute of Pittsburgh was founded in 1921 and is dedicated to design education, which prepares students for careers in the creative sector. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division, launched in 2000, offers a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design completely online and is accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education, The Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools, and the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. The graphic design program helps students develop their ideas through words, symbols, images, and visual messaging and to develop their business savvy. Students typically take nine credits per quarter for bachelor’s programs, and usually 15 quarters (45 months) are required to complete the degree.
